Community Mechanism Research Center (CMRC)

The Community Mechanism Research Center aims to make contributions toward building institutions that help people’s lives richer and safer and at the same time alleviate frictions and conflicts of interest. For this purpose, the center’s theoretical and empirical research focuses on lives of people who cannot use the market mechanism alone such as children and older adults whose cognitive abilities have declined. For this, the center conducts various studies and research including on-line experiments with researchers of international institution such as OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) and research institutions inside and outside Japan.
