On November 26th of 2019, Professor Wolfgang Karl Härdle of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin delivered an econometrics seminar based on his new research paper entitled "Understanding Cryptocurrencies". There were about fifteen to twenty participants.


Professor Härdle first explained technical basics of blockchain and the current state of cryptocurrencies in an easy-to-understand manner for beginners. Subsequently, he outlined econometric analysis of transaction data in the cryptocurrency market and suggested several potential research areas of cryptocurrencies.
